Position
This position analyzes data and provides information to support business units within Lund Food Holdings, Inc.  Responsibilities include gathering data; presenting information and making recommendations; analyzing special project costs and benefits; product cost studies; analyzing outsourcing; analyzing potential new business; developing and monitoring data quality metrics; and working collaboratively to make better business decisions.

Qualifications
This position requires an undergraduate degree in accounting or finance and at least five years of experience in manufacturing business analysis.  CPA, CMA or MBA certifications are a plus.  Candidates must be proficient in Microsoft Office and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.

Cost Accountant - Mitchell Road
Position
This position is primarily responsible for managing the maintenance of production and financial systems which includes testing data validity and report accuracy.  Systems used include production reporting, variance reporting, perpetual inventory, ordering system and financial.  
 
This position requires a dedicated team player with strong analytical and organizational skills along with excellent human relations and customer service skills.  He or she will have frequent interaction with corporate, retail, and wholesale personnel, as well as external business contacts on a variety of matters.  The ability to maintain confidentiality is essential.
 
Qualifications
This individual must hold a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, specializing in cost accounting. A minimum of 2 years experience in a cost accounting role, preferably in manufacturing is also required along with customer service and team relations skills. Candidates must possess the ability to communicate effectively, to plan, prioritize and coordinate work assignments and projects within the department.  Other requirements include strong interpersonal skills, data entry, 10-key accuracy and food cost accounting (ingredients, yields, formulation) experience.

Production Manager, Bakery – Mitchell Road
Position
This position is responsible for all daily production, packaging and distribution in assigned areas through accurate planning, scheduling, and employee management.  Additional accountability includes staff supervision, inventory control, quality assurance, food safety and sanitation and all other related duties assigned. 
 
This position requires strong, clear communication skills and mentoring abilities as well as accountability for attaining financial and service related goals set by themselves and the business leadership team.  This role oversees and maintains all company policies and procedures in a fair and consistent manner.  He or she serves as a communicator, trainer, and coach.  You guide your team to help them understand the goals and expectations of the organization while managing product quality, customer service, and food safety as well as the safety of our employees.
 
This individual must be able to develop a team that can perform on their own and understand the companies’ vision and initiate an action plan to assure the operation fulfills the vision/mission of the company.
 
Qualifications

Production Supervisor, Kitchen – Mitchell Road

Position
This position is responsible for all daily production and/or packaging of product produced in assigned areas through accurate planning and scheduling. Additional accountability includes staff supervision, inventory control, quality assurance, food safety & sanitation and all other related duties assigned. This position also requires use and knowledge of a variety of equipment and strong, clear communication and leadership skills.

Qualifications
This position requires strong writing skills and will participate in the hiring, review and employee relations of assigned employees. Previous 2-4 years of supervisory experience with a staff of 15 or more employees. Must be able to operate machinery, handle multiple tasks, interpret and follow precise instructions, and be able to perform physical labor including frequent lifting, bending and standing

Safety & Sanitation Manager – Mitchell Road

Position
This position is responsible for all SSOPs (Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures) developed through Good Manufacturing Practices in compliance with FDA and MN Dept of Ag. Food Safety Regulations. This individual will set daily, weekly and monthly cleaning schedules.  He/She will audit and monitor the overall cleanliness of the plant and the equipment.   This position also coordinates, implements, and participates in all safety related activities with the facility. 

Qualifications
Individual must be able to work as a part of a team and be detail oriented.  Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), MN Dept. of Ag. and FDA food safety regulations to ensure compliance with all sanitation programs is required. Also required are knowledge of HACCP regulations to establish the best food safety programs possible and knowledge of OSHA safety standards to ensure company compliance for employee safety.
 
Three to four years experience in sanitation or janitorial, supervising and training personnel, quality assurance or quality control is required. Proficiency with computer programs such as Word, Excel, and Outlook is needed to develop documentation, record and publish audits and communicate with other management team members as well as corporate support. The ideal candidate will have an eye for detail to see where sanitation needs can improve to avoid contamination of food product.  This same eye for detail would watch for GMP violations and safety hazards. Ability to multi-task and direct sanitation personal in all facets of sanitation will be required as well.
 
This individual acts as chairperson of plant safety committee and as the accident investigation coordinator. He or she reports all investigation results to the appropriate sources (e.g. management, risk management etc.).

Sanitation Worker (Multiple Openings)
Position

Shipping & Receiving Lead
Position
This position supervises the shipping and receiving departments for the bakery and kitchen.  Accountabilities include staging all products ordered for shipment to customers in a timely and orderly fashion; maintaining order of incoming inventory in dry goods, freezer and cooler areas; receiving and coordinating shipments of ingredients and supplies to be organized in their proper slots; supervising the emptying of tractor trailers and staging of empty cabinets and shipping racks; stocking ingredients and supplies for the production department to maintain efficient flow; and assisting in other areas of shipping and receiving department when needed.
 
Qualifications
This position requires an individual that is a dependable team player with strong attention to detail, good decision-making abilities and organizational skills.  Additionally, the individual is required to have good communication, math and reading abilities; two or more years work experience in shipping/receiving.  Previous bakery knowledge preferred.  Desired candidate will be required to become forklift certified.
 
Work Schedule
Generally, the work schedule will be Monday – Friday including night shifts and some weekends.  The work schedule may change according to business needs.

Assistant Store Manager Grocery – St. Paul
Position
This position is responsible for the effective execution of all grocery department operations and general supervision of the entire store.  Accountabilities in the area of grocery operations include staffing, scheduling, training and performance management of all grocery personnel including stock crew supervisor and stockers. 
 
He or she must ensure that customer service standards are consistently achieved and resolve customer service issues that occur in a manner that ensures a complete and heroic recovery.  This person will have accountability for achieving financial objectives, which will include labor scheduling objectives such as payroll percents, and productivity objectives such as sales/labor hour.  Store supervision responsibilities include ensuring that departments are appropriately staffed to support service objectives, assisting employees, managing performance and maintaining favorable employee relations, and ensuring departments are well merchandised and product quality standards are achieved throughout the store. 
 
Qualifications
This position requires an individual who has a sound understanding of retail operations, well-developed leadership skills as well as strong problem-solving skills, sound judgment and excellent communication skills.  Customer service and team relations skills are required as are computer skills.  Knowledge of financial objectives in order to achieve company goals is also required.  In addition, he or she must have the ability to communicate effectively with people and complete tasks promptly and accurately.  This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent as well as two or more years work experience within the related technical/functional work area.

Bookkeeper/ FE Supervisor –
Lake Street

Position
The retail specialist position offers full-time benefits including health insurance, dental insurance, pension, vacations and personal holidays.  Sunday is part of the regular workweek and is paid at the regular hourly rate.

This position oversees the front-end operations during scheduled shifts and is also responsible for day-to-day bookkeeping and payroll processes. This position has responsibility for managing front-end labor through scheduling, workforce supervision, training, employee relations, problem solving, and following all safety and sanitation procedures. In addition to performing a variety of management functions, this position is responsible for performing all day-to-day bookkeeping processes including the consolidation of accounts and all forms of payments, reconciling drawers, tracking over/shorts, reconciling balance sheets, ordering and depositing of cash and other related duties. Cake Decorator—St. Louis Park
Position
This position produces decorated cakes, cookies, bars, and cream cakes for special orders to enhance customers’ special occasions as well as extra “case cakes” to have available for sale. The cake decorator ensures customers’ special orders are produced exactly as specified and that creative and exciting items are on display. Timely handling of daily tasks is necessary to meet order deadlines.

Qualifications
Applicants must be able to read, spell and follow complicated instructions as well as possess an artistic ability in order to produce beautiful and appealing decorated cakes.  Customer service skills and the ability to work as part of a team are required; previous cake decorating experience is preferred.

Print Shop Technician – Saint Louis Park
Position
This position receives store signage orders, prints said orders to meet specifications, and packages orders for outbound shipment.  Purpose of this position is to produce and maintain high quality sign production and meet established service schedule criteria, while achieving established productivity performance and minimizing material waste.
 
Qualifications
Qualifications include high school diploma or equivalent, with two or more years experience working within the related technical/functional work area.  Applicants must be competent in Windows PC operation, familiar with MS Word and Excel.  He or she must also be able to communicate, train and reinforce performance expectations and problem-solve within areas of expertise.  Customer service and team relations skills are required along with effective interpersonal communication skills (both written and verbal).  The ability to communicate effectively, attention to detail, self-starter, flexible and confident in addressing work parameter changes are also desired for this position.

We are currently hiring for seasonal and part-time positions in our catering department at our St. Louis Park location.

Catering Server: This position is responsible for serving the catering customer(s) extraordinary foods and products with exceptional service and passionate expertise.

Catering Specialist:  Provide expert event planning services for clients, including menu planning, décor and staffing services.  Communicate and coordinate order details to production staff and vendor partners.

Catering Clerk: This position is responsible for preperation and assembly of platters and cooking customer orders.

We are currently hiring for a variety of positions at our Byerly's Restaurants in St. Louis Park, St. Paul, Golden Valley, Burnsville, Roseville and Chanhassen locations as well as at our Minnetonka Lunds location. We are looking to fill a variety of shifts in the following positions:

Lead Cooks – The lead cook functions as part of the back-of-the-house culinary team and provides leadership, work direction, training and coaching to the other members of the cooking staff. He/she serves as the key resource among the cooking staff and as such must be knowledgeable on preparation requirements and techniques for all menu items. A significant responsibility of the position is the coordination of work activity on the cook’s line, ensuring that the back-of-the-house food production is meeting the front-of-the-house guest service needs. The lead cook is accountable for assessing the workload, assigning duties, monitoring performance and redirecting cooking staff as necessary to maintain back-of-the-house production requirements. Additionally, the lead cook monitors product quality and food safety practices to ensure that food cost and quality standards are achieved. The lead cook assists the kitchen manager with the general management of back-of-the-house operations including such activities as product ordering, stocking, inventory management, production lists and adherence to cleaning and sanitizing procedures. The position requires an experienced cook who possesses expertise in kitchen operations and back-of-the-house processes with excellent employee relations and training skills. Qualifications include strong leadership and human relation skills, sound judgment and decision-making ability.

Servers - The server is responsible for all facets of the guest dining experience and ultimately guest satisfaction. Through attentiveness, knowledge, enthusiasm, professionalism and genuine care and respect, the server manages the guest experience ensuring that every need and expectation is met throughout the dining event. Responsibilities of the position include providing a friendly greeting and introduction, introducing features and specials, taking and processing the guest’s food and beverage order, delivering the order, checking for quality and satisfaction, taking and processing additional beverage and/or dessert orders and closing the transaction.

Cooks - This position is responsible for preparing foods according to company specifications, fulfilling customer requests, and following all safety and sanitation procedures.

Greeters - The greeter is responsible for ensuring service excellence for each and every guest. He/she is primarily responsible for greeting and seating guests as they arrive, and thanking the guest at their departure.
